Member of the Académie Ecossaise of the Hauts de France, he participated in the think tank regarding the preservation of the archives of the lodges of the region and the history of their development. Since the autumn of 2018, he has been a founding member of the Scottish Masonic Academy of Lyon, where he is leading a project on the archives of the lodges of Lyon.
An archaeologist for more than 20 years, Vianney Rassart is a specialist in the medieval era. Graduated from the University of Lille 3 in 2003 with a Master’s degree in medieval archeology in the Nord department, he has been responsible for many archaeological operations for his communities. Author of several articles in this field, he also organized the international events on Merovingian archeology in Lyon in 2017.
Passionate about Freemasonry for over fifteen years, he applies his approach as a historian to Masonic research. Today, he decided to embark on the creation of a computer resource to list all Masonic documents available in all French libraries.
