Very Puissant Honorary Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Belgium, co-founder of the Scottish Masonic International Alliance and founding member of the research group ‘The Knights of the Holy Empire’ of the Supreme Council of France.
Medical doctor specialized in Imaging, Jacques Mathieu first worked in the private sector before being appointed Head of Service of a public institution and then Head of Department of Imaging in a hospital attached to the Free University of Brussels.
In parallel with this clinical activity, he has developed an activity of expert witness with the courts and insurance companies.
Initiated in the Grand Orient de Belgique in 1986, he joined the Grande Loge de Belgique in 2006. In 1990, he pursued the Scottish approach within the Supreme Council for Belgium which then merged in 2002 with the Grand et Suprême Conseil de Belgique to reconstitute the Suprême Conseil de Belgique. In the latter he assumed several positions before being elected Grand Commander (2011-2016).
