Gérard Moitrieux is president of the research history of the Areopagus Committee Sources of the Grand College of Scottish Rites, Supreme Council of 33rd degree in France, Grand-Orient of France.
Emeritus Professor of the University of Western Brittany, he is a specialist in Roman history, in particular the religion and sculpture of Roman Gaul on which he has written several works.
In the Masonic area he works on the rituals of the eighteenth century to the present day. Thus he produced an article on the evolution of 18th-century decorations, in the magazine Sources, 9, “Travels in the Rites of Knight Rose-Croix”, of which he was editor. He is currently working on the 9th degree and is leading the future publication of Sources magazine on grades 4 to 14.
