Since 2015 President of the Groupe de Recherche Alpina (GRA), working under the Auspices of the Grande Loge Suisse Alpina (GSLA).). The GRA, founded in 1985, publishes the semiannual Masonica and organizes conferences and seminars in Switzerland.
Holder of a Master’s degree in natural sciences, Dominique Alain Freymond has, for 25 years, held various positions of responsibility within multinational American and Indian IT companies. He also worked for the modernization of the Canton of Vaud as Chancellor of State between 1995 and 1997. Independent director for more than 20 years, he has sat in more than thirty boards of directors. Since 2003, he has been working as a consultant in strategy and corporate governance.
Initiated at the Grande Loge de France (Cosmos 288, Paris) in 1987, he later joined Loge Catena Humanitatis (GLSA) in Zurich and the Loge Liberté in Lausanne.
Within the GRA, he contributed to the editing of the Guide Suisse du Franc-Maçon (Tome I – Histoire et origines de la Franc-Maçonnerie, 2017 ; Tome II – Diversité des obédiences dans le monde, 2018).
