Initiated in June 1981 at the Loge Le Contrat Social, GLDF, in Avignon, he was a founding member of the Contract Cavare Lodge in Cavaillon. Member of the Mare Nostrum Research Lodge, he is also a former Father Noé of the Research Lodge Admiral Vence, member of the Association of Maritime Research Lodges ASPOMA.
Maurice Borsa joined the Navy at 18 years old. He remained there for five years, as Air Controller, and then Air Navigator on Neptune P2V6 aircraft first at Lann Bihoué, then at Nîmes Garons and finally at the Naval Air Station Lartigues at Oran in Algeria. Returning to Marseilles, he worked for the Olivetti office equipment company for five years, finishing by being a Senior Account Manager.
He seized the opportunity to set up his own business at Cavaillon in the Vaucluse, and his office equipment company was an Olivetti dealer. After thirty years of business life, he gave up his business and moved to the Calanques a few kilometres from Carry le Rouet. He devoted himself to research on maritime history and Masonic, not to mention fishing on board his pointu marseillais.
